just why oh why

One or the other might be wondering just why I created this site, why I'm practically spending each free minute I've got working on my little baby here. Well, I can write essays of the reason why, but I've got the feeling I can answer this question with one sentence.

Because those two are the world to me. Haha, sad, no? Maybe I'm weird wait, why maybe but honestly, I couldn't be happier to have gotten to know those two boys.


Honestly, there are no words for my undying love for Naruto & Sasuke, it starts even scaring myself. There are no other two characters that have made me smile, laugh and cry to such an extent as those two have, and still do.

Another reason why I decided to make this site on my own, was that there are hardly any good relationship shrines out there. Over the time I've come across quite some interesting and great character shrines, but to actually find a well thought-out pairing shrine is .. like impossible. Of course, there are expceptions (I recommend taking a look at the links out section) but generally speaking, especially in the Naruto fandom, it's definitely something unusual.

That is why I simply thought I'd start and build a tribute to my two beloved boys on my own, just because they deserve it like crazy.

But however.. there is still a 3rd reason, which is really important to me. Considering that Naruto is a Shounen series, it has a huge yaoi fandom and without doubt.. the SasuNaru fandom would stand a good chance against any other shounen ai fandom. Ever since the kiss in the very 3rd chapter and the first fangirl scream "OMG BOY LOVE~!!11" the fandom had to endure most of the bashing I've encountered so far. Wherever you go and you state you are a sucker for the two boys, you get labeled as some crazy yaoi fangirl who does nothing than drooling over every Sasuke shot, making Naruto the very uke in everything fandom related and yeah, simply: "LOLOL YAOI~*!11 PWNS YOUR PAIRING". I am sick of this.

Of course, there a lot of such fangirls who only see the possible shounen ai factor in the relationship and actually ditched the series a few weeks later, instead creating fanworks that practically scream "I DUNNO ANYTHING ABOUT THE TWO BUT THEY ARE HAWWT YAYZ". Not to mention the neverending my-paring-is-more-canon-than-yours.

But really, if we're being honest, such fangirls exist in every single fandom. This one is just an extreme example, I'd say. :D Especially about the canon-fight, this won't be over even after Kishimoto has ended the series, I'm sure. Now anyways, my point is to prove that there are fans out there who do take a closer look at the two and don't get swamped away by their looks or whatever. I think it's somehow unfair to talk a fandom down, just because the more.. "outstanding" fans are of the above described kind. This also drives many people off from even taking a 2nd look at the two, which personally, makes me sad, but to an extent I also understand it -which is why I am trying so hard to offer another view of the fandom and the two boys. I hope I have succeded, at least a little little little bit. This would be enough for me.

My only aim with this site, except for spreading as much love as possible, is to try to give everyone who comes across this site, some sort of feeling for Sasuke as well as Naruto. I don't expect anyone to like any of the boys more than before after reading all of this, but as weird as this might sound, I'd be glad if one could think just once more about them. That's all I want, really. Just to offer another view - which is of course not the not the 'right' one (apart from the fact there is no "right" and "wrong"), nor the most popular or anything. It's just mine. Nothing more, nothing less. :D

As I also stated in the relationship sections ("Bound Together") I don't want to put their relationship into words - everyone should decide on his own how one calls it. Friendship, brotherhood, lovers, soulmates - for me this just shows how multifaced this relationship is, and we shouldn't let this get to waste due to some fights concerning "Those are MERE friends, get it!! - NO brothers!! - OF COURSE THEY LOVE EACH OTHER!". It would be sad, really. After all, as long as we like them together in any way, the love from fan to fan is the same, no? And that's what counts.
